This meal plan specifically includes many foods that are known to help with the aging process. Many of these foods help with energy levels, skin issues and collagen production, vision, and more. It’s important to realize that for a healthy aging meal plan, there will be lots of vegetables. For people who aren’t fond of vegetables, it’s okay to pick a few that you like and stick to them, as long as you’re including a healthy amount of vegetables in your diet. Additionally, whole grains are great for aging as they provide a decent amount of fiber which is important for digestive health when you’re aging. Lastly, protein can’t be ignored in a healthy aging diet. Protein helps preserve the muscles and makes sure they stay strong.
You’ll want to incorporate a lot of fish as it provides protein and omega-3s, which are healthy fatty acids.
