One of my guilty pleasures is scooping up a spoonful of peanut butter as a treat. It is something that is so delicious all on its own! If I were to reach for any candy at the store it is generally a combination of peanut butter and chocolate. I just love the perfect flavor it offers, and it makes my heart happy. And we all need that one indulgent that we can enjoy, of course in moderation!
No-Bake Peanut Butter Bars
This dessert offers a nostalgic feeling for me. Growing up at Easter time we would always have these on the dessert table. So when I made up these peanut butter bars and took my first bite, it took me back to my childhood. Do you have a smell or a favorite dish that really sparks that nostalgic feel? Well, these bars do that. I can remember running around in the yard with my basket hunting for Easter eggs, playing with my cousins and not having a care in the world. After we rounded up our candy, we would always dump it out and then trade off candy for our favorite piece. Then sneak into the kitchen and sneak some peanut butter bars!
If you are not a fan of baking or find you are challenged when it comes to making desserts know that this no-bake peanut butter bar recipe is truly a breeze. Melt a few ingredients, stir and pour into the pan! That is truly all this dessert requires and if you measure properly it is fool-proof. Don’t say I didn’t warn you, that you can’t just eat one of these!
Easy No Bake Peanut butter Bars
- 2 sticks butter
- 2 cups graham Cracker Crumbs
- 2 cups confectionary Sugar
- 1 cup Peanut Butter
- 2.5 cups chocolate chips
Line a square pan with parchment paper and set aside.
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt both of your sticks of butter and add to a large bowl.
Fold in your graham cracker crumbs and then add your confectioners’ sugar.
Fold in peanut butter and continue folding until thoroughly combined.
Evenly press graham cracker mixture into lined pan.
Using the double-boiler method, melt chocolate chips and pour over your graham cracker base. Make sure it is even by spreading it with a spatula.
Let set in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
